The Snackpack Program

Who doesn't love to feed kids?

At Be Heartfelt we certainly do!

We want to partner with the community to ensure that the children in need are fed.

Student Snack Packs are given every Friday, filled with kid-friendly food that provides two weekend breakfasts, lunches, and snacks.

In Guam, there are hungry children living in tin and/or wood shacks hidden throughout the jungle.  The effect of food insecurity on these children includes more frequent illness and delayed cognitive development resulting in poor educational outcomes.Providing food, in underserved areas throughout the island will improve the community’s health and its economic vitality.

The children on Guam receive free or reduced-price meals through the National School Lunch Program and the National School Breakfast Program. For many of these children, school meals may be the only meals they eat. What happens when they go home over the weekend?  This is the unknown we are committed to changing.

Weekend Hunger is real and a growing problem. What options do the children have?  Until now, the island has not had a consistent Snack Pack weekend program.

We want to make a difference, and a positive change to our communities.  With your help, we can provide food to more children in need.  Will you join us in this commitment?
