Guam has a high number of youth that rely heavily on the free meals that they receive at school. However, a gap remains as to having access to food on the weekends and holidays. This program intends to help address this gap by creating snack packs comprised of non-perishable foods to be delivered to school social workers on the next to the last day of each week. The snack packs will then be distributed by the social workers to identified youth in need the last day of each week. Enough food will be prepared to accommodate the number of days out of school, typically two days (Saturday and Sunday).
